lyrics
Sometimes I wonder how far's the sun from here
Does it burn as we get
closer and closer (and...)
Cause I think we are near
(I THINK WE’RE NEAR)
Exquisite statues made of glass
What a beautiful, hollow design
Put under pressure when issues collide
Sure they will shatter so fast
Sometimes I wonder how far is the sun from here
Does it burn if we get closer? Cause I think we’re near
And as the turmoil spreads faster we find comfort in fear
Home is nowhere, nothing, without you and me,
Everything that’s destined, will never be seen
If we don’t really want it - it never will be
In a world stripped of honesty, no hope, no amnesty, nothing to save us from us,
We can bruise our knees ever so much but that - blow won't give us no - Clean ride - back home
We’re surrounded by static, by glass and by steel, the mechanics of our Insides have fractured and still
We’re the only ones left kicking, fighting to feel
Exquisite statues made of glass
What a beautiful, hollow design
Put under pressure when issues collide
Sure they will shatter so fast
I’ve got some unfinished business
With all the things they say/convey
After everything that I've witnessed
I can't stand the light of day
Have you ever felt it / so complicated
Have you seen that / everything's jaded
I think it’s about time you see how it all works
I think it’s about time you understand what’s really worth
If you hear a voice swim inside your head
Don't stop, or listen to what it says
Miracles are not that often anymore
It’s all just you against a world you adore
Sometimes it lays you down
And then you act surprised
It tears you back around
And still you act surprised
Take this hospital bed and throw it away
Pull the plug on whatever's making you breathe
The life in me has got to be
All that you need to keep falling on your feet
Stand tall on my own feet

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego

This is so much like Morbid Angel, it's uncanny. In fact, it's better than anything Morbid Angel has put out in years. Bone-crushing and bleak, it's reminiscent of Gateways to Annihilation. fyeahmetal

The drummer for Nile...so this is hyper fast technical death metal. Greco-Roman rather than Egyptian. I like this more than Nile, because I do not dig ultra-low vocals. Super technical, but produced well enough that it is clear and comprehensible. MindOverFour
